In early December 2017, Stephen Brotebeck has staged a new production of the musical Enchanted April. A New Musical Romance by Charles Leipart and Richard B. Evans at the San Diego State University. Hosted by the School of Theatre, Television and Film, the production starred Kimberly Moller (Rose), Susanna Vaughan (Lottie), Katie Banville (Lady Caroline) and Margaret Larlham (Mrs Fisher).

Stephen Brotebeck has a long association with the musical and co-directed an earlier production in Washington D.C. and is “thrilled to be once again involved with this new musical adaption of the beloved story by Elizabeth von Arnim”. He points out, “There are very few musicals that are so female-focused, where the women are the driving force in the story”.

The music was performed by the SDSU Symphony, conducted by Michael Gerdes. You can find the full program here: Enchanted-April-SDSU
